T1 Speed = Synchronicity
T1 Line – Rates low as $359 with loop
Synchronicity is the key to T1 speed. The only way for a T1 line to transmit as much data as it does, as fast as it does, is through the use of synchronous transmissions.
It is a marvel of precision timing. Up to 8 kilobytes per second (kbps) of the total 1.544 megabytes per second (Mbps) transmission rate is used to “frame” the data. This essentially means that those 8 kbps are used to let the equipment on the receiving end know just where the transmission starts and ends. 1.536 Mbps is the true T1 speed, or usable bandwidth, that you receive.
Because of this capacity for synchronous transmission, a single T1 line can be “channeled” into 24 separate channels, or line, for the simultaneous transmission of multiple data or voice formats. This synchronicity that equates to T1 speed gives you the power to service all of your telecommunications needs in a fraction of the time of ordinary lines and at a fraction of the cost you might think.
