Offered as a partial conduit of full T1 connection, fractional T1 lines offer as high as 768 kilobytes per second (kbps) transfer rate for data transmissions.
Fractional T1 lines provide a portion of the available 24 channels direct from the backbone of the telecommunications services provider. This reduces the cost to the customer, as the provider can then lease the unused portion of the fractional T1 line to another telecommunications customer.
