Make sure you understand the full options for the service, as well as the full charges, including installation, equipment and monthly service charges. Some VOIP carrier service providers will offer a lower rate for the first few months, but the rate may increase later on. Or, you may have a limit to the number of calls that are allowed per month. It's possible you may be asked to commit to use the service for a certain amount of time.
