"Turn It On By Turning It Off -
Fractional T1 Service"
Fractional T1 service could be the solution that you are looking for if you need higher bandwidth capability for the least amount of cost.
Business DSL may be a little less expensive, but is not always available and can be less reliable than T-1 connections.
While full, dedicated T-1 lines are not always within the price range for the
average smaller business owner, even with today's low prices, fractional T1 service provides a stable, intermediate avenue between the lower
price of DSL and the speed and reliability of a full, dedicated T-1 line.
A full T-1 line offers digital transmission speeds of up to 1.544 megabytes per second (Mbps). A fractional T-1 service has any number of its 24
channels turned off to provide varying amounts of transmission capability, typically, anywhere from 256 to 768 kilobytes per second (kbps). So if
your company cannot justify the expense of a full, dedicated T-1 connection, fractional T1 service could be the solution - turn it on by turning
some of it off.
